Originally from Canada, with a background in teaching and carpentry, Neil heads our teen group, currently mentoring them as they take IGCSE Cambridge exams. He emphasises that young people should learn skills that come from their specific needs.

From the US, Wendy, with an MBA and a MEd (Harvard) is our teen educational program developer and beloved Math teacher. Her emphasis lies in encouraging students to explore their individual identities within the context of community.
 

​Working with the teens and with a passion for permaculture and regenerative work, Ayanna has degrees in both Social Anthropology (BA) and Dramatic Arts (MA)

Originally from South Africa, but with Portuguese parents, Claudia leads our Sprouts class (reception and first grade). She has a background in teaching children with special needs.

Originally from Brazil, Geraldo moved to the Algarve in 2024. He previously taught at the American International School in Brazilia. He has degrees in Culinary arts and Education.

Mirka oversees the project-based learning pedagogy for the primary section. Originally from the Czech Republic, with a B.A. in Biology and a minor in Education, she has also completed Outdoor Education Leadership Training

Moran brings decades of experience in the management of kindergarten. She is responsible for our «Seeds» group, ages 3-4.

Marian Dohm, originally from Germany, teaches Global Citizenship to our teen group and does sports with our juniors.

Originally from Lisbon, Joana Froes joined our team in 2024. She has degrees in Political Science and International Relations. She is an avid nature conservationsist and re-wilding activist. 

Adam, from the UK, leads our nature exploration and wood workshop classes for the primary years and facilitates permaculture activities for the teens

With over twenty years of experience teaching in Germany, Alexandra tutors our 7-10 year olds in Mathematics and Project Based Learning Fields

From Poland, Krys is a prolific beatboxer who has been holding workshops with our teens and juniors.

Fabiana has a Master in Semiotics from Bologna and a PHD in Arts & Humanities from the University of Lisbon. Before this she completed a 4 year circus training program at Circo di Abruzzo in Italy. She has worked in several outdoor education projects and will introduce the chidlren to mime, physical expression, clowning and theatre.

Katy Marais attained her diploma as assistant educator in France. In the past she has also worked with elderly people. She is our assistant in the seeds kindergarten group.
